The Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York is a wonderful fellowship of dear Christians who are seeking a closer walk with the Lord and who thrill to see others come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and see them also grow in Him. We would love to have you visit with us and experience the warmth of this church yourself.
Our goals are to win as many souls to Christ as we can and help them to grow in the knowledge of God and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Every ministry of Lighthouse Baptist Church has these goals in mind.
Sundays at Lighthouse Baptist are special days. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. There are nurseries and classes for children, teens and adults of all ages. Our Main Services at 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. begin with the singing of the great hymns of the faith, The Lighthouse Choir and Orchestra and special music. As always, our central focus is on spirit-led, practical preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Children are welcome in the main services, but we also offer a wonderful time in God’s Word designed just for children in our Lighthouse Kids Klub (1-6 grade), and Kinder Klub (ages 2-K5). A well-staffed nursery for children is also provided.
Wednesday evenings are very important at Lighthouse Baptist as we grow even deeper into the word of God. Our Wednesday’s Lighthouse Kids Klub is an exciting time in the Bible as young minds are instructed by loving teachers who aid them in learning the lessons of life and in hiding the Word of God in their hearts. Children enjoy class activities earning badges along with Bible games and snacks. Our Teens enjoy Youth Ablaze, under the direction of Pastor Kenny Dallas. This is a wholesome and informative time in the word of God along with food, fun and fellowship. Wednesday evening for the adults includes an in-depth Bible Study, as we enrich our personal walk with God, and a time of prayer for the needs of one another and those around us.
Add to these, The King’s Daughters (Ladies’ Ministry); Seasoned Saints (for all those 55 years and older) which meets on selected Thursdays under the direction of Pastor Mark Garrard, Reformers Unanimous Addictions Program on Fridays, Ambassadors’ Club Soul Winning Training, Bus Ministry, Choir, Orchestra, or VBS, and you will see that our goal is to seek to meet the spiritual needs of our community. Our longing is to see others come to know Christ as Savior and experience victory in Jesus.
